1.Reflection

Suggested Topics:

• Alternatives for plastics (vote – 6)
• Role of youth in safeguarding environment (vote – 5)
• Conservation of wild life (vote – 5)

Alternatives for plastics 

• Ms. Poornima – Animals are often affected by plastics
• Mr. Jughal – Self behavioural change and Institutional resolutions has to be taken for plastic alternatives. And alternatives are available for everythings.
• Mr. Gokul – It is majorly affecting soil and aqua life system. Packaging industries are playing major role in producing plastics
• Mr. Saravanan – We should focus on daily usage of plastics and start to avoid and keep the practice on the same.
• Mr. Surath – Changes in consumption should start from home and it is the only way to reduce plastic consumption
• Ms. Priya – Plastics should be Recycled

Conclusion : Start with small changes from home, institutions, offices etc., to eradicate the veritable plastic consumption

2.2.1. Review:

• Child safety week observed in Thavalakuppam School and Child line and Youth Helpline promotion has been done.
• Child safety week observed at Thanthai Periyar Govt. School and Kannagi Govt. School where Child line and Youth Helpline has been promoted.
• Mental Health awareness and Youth Helpline promotion at Tagore Govt. Arts and Science College. 
• Submitted abstract for NIMHS National Conference. 
• Youth Helpline calls:

• whole video shoot of the community is completed

• Planning to conduct workshop for Katterikuppam village youth or Kanchi Mamunivar college students

2.12. Administration: (Mr. Suresh)

• Planned to conduct  “Camp No Drive’’ at Pondicherry University . Official letter has been to be send to MSW (DSW) and MA Psychology Departments
• Coordinators of all program and projects are requested to share their updates periodically in whatsapp group to avoid communication gap within the team
• CRD’19 and HYL’20 team are requested to submit their report
• Mentors and coordinators are requested to avoid last minute communication in any digital platform

2.13. Finance: (Mr. Suresh & Mr. Francis)

• Fellows are requested to present their stipend cheques on or before 5th of every month
• Expense and account details of a month: 

• Petty cash withdrawn Rs: 55,000. 
• Expenses for the month of Feb 2020 is Rs: 54,662
• Fellowship Stipend Rs: 30,000.
• Total Expenses Rs: 1,39,662
• Bank Balance as end of this month(Feb’2020) Rs: 3,94,796
