In 2007, one child at the Baby Sarah Home for disabled and orphan children asked why they didn’t celebrate birthdays like other children. From then on, TYCL has hosted birthday celebrations at BSH on the second Sunday of each month for children and volunteers with birthdays during that month. TYCL provides dress and games for the children, and the home is filled with chattering and singing. These days also provide time to spend with the children to further identify their needs and goals. They are special days for the children and the volunteers, who share in enthusiasm, joy and love.
